In this book, Philip van Tol shows a selective overview of more than 10 years of
photography from the series 'Just as it is ..'
He is amazed by the shapes and movements that appear on the surface in the area
between light and shadow. The unpredictable in nature plays a major role in his
photography, but also in its design. There are poetic side lights.
Nothing is manipulated (by computer). They are just as it is ...
The exhibition shows an atmosphere of what can be seen in the book.
A selection of photos are assembled in the groups of parties on the tables,
and this results in another experience. Enlargement prints on paper are hanging
for the rear wall. Framed photo work on another wall and One-minute films projected
on the other wall and are spread over the space via monitors.
